In case you haven’t noticed, there are many out there that have a bad attitude towards MLM. Why is that? Let’s cover this in a little more in depth.

So I’m sure we have all experienced this before, you start to talk about your business and the person you are talking with, their demeanor changes instantly. I have seen it more than once, where their eyes kinda glaze over…lol J Good times.

Anyways, I believe this happens not because of MLM but because of two things…

One, obviously there have been companies that have given the Industry a bad reputation. But it’s like in anything else, there seems to always be a few bad apples in the barrel.

Second, I think it comes down to how Network Marketers have been trained to grow their business.

Now I’m not putting anyone down here, we are all guilty of this… We all have signed someone up who had no business owning a business. That is a recipe to disaster! So you end up having a lot of people who either don’t belong in business or people who do, but have not been trained right. So then you have reps going out trying to sell and recruit not having any idea what they are doing. Then they get frustrated because they have done everything the company and their up line has told them to do and they are still failing. That’s a bummer deal!

I say all of that to submit to you, Network Marketing is a very smart business model, but the lack of training combined with the “get rich quick schemes” and scams haven’t helped at all!

I REALLY encourage you to take the time to figure out if you are taking your business seriously or not, if you are willing to learn how to run a professional business or if you just want an expensive hobby? I can’t believe the amount of “Networkers” that have no desire to learn anything new in order to grow their business! I truly am shocked at the number!

If you are a part of the MLM Industry, take the time to learn about the Industry, find out what works and what doesn’t. Become a leader in your industry and not only will your business explode, you will have plenty of opportunities to generate other streams of income as well. Like coaching others to succeed like you have, writing eBooks and training guides, etc. You can do that because you have taken the time to invest in yourself and become the leader in your Industry. Because of that people will want to know what you know and how you got to where you are.

All because I have studied the Industry like crazy and now know what works and what doesn’t. So let’s make it a goal to help others and show everyone that we are a New Breed of Network Marketers and we mean business!

I’m sure we have all been there, the thrill of deciding to start a home based business. The sad thing is, there are many of those who have given up on their dreams. I think this is due to not knowing how to really start a home based business the right way. There is so much info floating around the Internet, how do you know what is right on and what is not worth your time?

I was on a webinar last night that was very good. Many topics were covered, but one really stuck out to me. They got on the topic of entrepreneurs who move from one business to another and how there seems to be a common thread in most if not all of them.

Before I talk about that common thread is, first I want to make sure you understand what I mean when I talk about a person who jumps from business to business.

We all know people like this, heck; we might be people like this! They sign up in a business and man o’ man, they are excited! They tell everyone they know, they are on the phone all the time and they are pumped! A few months later, they aren’t making a couple thousand so they start looking for another biz opp because obviously the last biz wasn’t the right one. So then they find the “one” and you are the first to hear about it. They are so sure this is the “one” that they and you are going to make it big in! And then the cycle continues…

I’m sure you know what I’m talking about

So here is the common thread…

How many people do you know who are successful in Network Marketing? Think of one of those people, now how many times do you see them move from business to business?

Exactly, they don’t move around unless it is necessary. How do you expect to build a down line if you keep moving around!? For some reason many don’t get this, they continue to move around looking for the “perfect” business. Now I do realize there are those who have legitimate reasons to move to another business, those people are not who I’m talking about.

Here are a few things to think about if you find yourself being one of those moving around a lot…

First, when people see you moving around from business to business, they don’t take you seriously and they don’t look at you as a professional or a leader. (A big reason why you won’t build a big down line)

The biggest problem I see with most business owners are, they don’t think like business owners. They are taking their business as a hobby or a get rich quick scheme. Many people don’t want to invest in themselves and learn how to be the best entrepreneur they can be. They are limited in their thinking and because of that, they are missing out on a LOT. I recently wrote an eBook on this called “The Empire Mindset” that will be available shortly. I have truly been amazed how people’s thinking hold them back, they either don’t think they are worthy to succeed, so they sabotage their business without even knowing it. Or they are just simply lazy and don’t want to learn. And there are those who work VERY hard, but still struggle because no one has taught them what to do.

So I say all of this to encourage you to take some time and examine yourself and what your goals and plans are and what it’s going to take to get there. You have got to have a battle plan and you have got to make sure your thinking isn’t holding you back.

Alright, with all the social networking sites and tools, I have a question for you…

What is the return on investment for you with those things? I really do want an answer, so please post your answer and thoughts.

I bring this up because there are a lot of us that follow each other on Twitter, we are friends on MySpace and FaceBook, BUT…

How well do we know each other? How many times have we truly been able to help one another out or do a joint venture? My guess is, not many of us. Sometime we try do everything on our own and I respect that, but the way I see it, there are a LOT of very qualified Networkers out there who have a lot to offer and no one is taking advantage of it.

So this brings me to my main point…

I thought we could all test something out and if you like it, you can duplicate it yourself. So drum roll please….
